Big Bad Beetleborgs is an American television series created by Saban Entertainment and first broadcast in September 1996 on Fox Kids. Inspired by the Japanese Metal Hero series from Toei Company, it blends live-action footage with special effects.
The story follows three young friends, Drew, Jo, and Roland, who accidentally release a phantasm named Flabber from an old haunted mansion. As a reward, Flabber grants them the wish to become their favorite comic book superheroes, the Beetleborgs.
Drew McCormick is the courageous leader of the group. As Blue Stinger Beetleborg, he uses his telekinetic powers to fight evil forces. His blue armor, inspired by a Japanese rhinoceros beetle, symbolizes his strength and unwavering determination.
