A Bug's Life is a computer-animated film directed by John Lasseter and Andrew Stanton, produced by Pixar and Walt Disney Pictures. Released in 1998 in the United States and in 1999 in France, this American feature film is the studio's second masterpiece after Toy Story.

The plot follows a colony of ants exploited by a gang of grasshoppers led by the fearsome One-Eyed Man. Every summer, the ants must gather a harvest for their oppressors, until one day an accident changes the course of their destiny.

Flick (or Tilt in the French version) is an inventive, enthusiastic, but very clumsy male ant. Misunderstood by his peers, he decides to leave the island to recruit mercenaries to defend his community against the grasshoppers, thus proving his courage and ingenuity.
