Denver, the Last Dinosaur is a French-American animated series created by Peter Keefe and produced by IDDH and World Events Productions. It first aired in 1988 in the United States and in 1989 in France on FR3.

The story follows a group of Californian teenagers who discover a corythosaurus egg in a quarry. When it hatches, they name the dinosaur Denver and protect him from the clutches of an unscrupulous developer while enjoying musical and athletic adventures.

Shades is one of Denver's best friends. Recognizable by his sunglasses and laid-back style, he brings a cool vibe to the group. Passionate about urban culture, he is always ready to help his friends with calm and loyalty.
