BraveStarr is an American animated series created by Tom Tataranowicz and Daryl Givens, produced by Filmation. First broadcast in 1987, this iconic work of the space western genre skillfully blends space exploration with a futuristic Wild West atmosphere.

The story takes place on the planet New Texas, where the discovery of the precious ore Kerium attracts numerous outlaws. Marshal BraveStarr, endowed with mystical animal powers, fights to maintain order and protect the colonists from technological and magical threats.

Tex Hex is the series' main antagonist and the leader of the band of outlaws. A former prospector corrupted by greed, he was transformed into an undead sorcerer by the demonic entity Stampede. Possessing magical powers and a ruthless temperament, he embodies absolute evil on New Texas.
