Spectreman is a Japanese tokusatsu television series created by Souji Ushio and produced by P Productions. Originally broadcast in Japan between 1971 and 1972 on Fuji TV, it arrived in France in 1982 on the children's program Récré A2.

The plot follows the Galactic Federation's fight against Doctor Gori, an ape-like scientist banished from his planet. Gori attempts to conquer Earth by using human pollution to create devastating giant monsters.

Spectreman is a cyborg sent from the planet Nebula 71. Disguised as George, he works within an anti-pollution brigade. A determined protector, he transforms to confront Gori's technological and ecological threats.
