Ulysses 31 is a French-Japanese animated series created by Jean Chalopin and Nina Wolmark, produced by DIC and TMS studios. Broadcast from 1981 on FR3, it transposes Homer's Odyssey into a futuristic space opera universe.
The plot follows Ulysses, condemned by the Olympian gods to wander the cosmos after destroying the Cyclops. Accompanied by his son Telemachus and the young Themis, he searches for the realm of Hades to free his frozen companions.
Nono is the little red robot given to Telemachus for his birthday. A glutton for nails and bolts, this faithful companion adds a touch of humor to the adventure. Despite his sometimes cowardly nature, he possesses phenomenal physical strength.
