Ulysses 31 is a French-Japanese animated series created by Jean Chalopin and Nina Wolmark. Produced by DIC and Tokyo Movie Shinsha studios, it was first broadcast in France in October 1981 on the FR3 channel.
The story transposes Homer's Odyssey to the 31st century. After killing the Cyclops to save his son, Ulysses is condemned by the gods to wander Mount Olympus aboard the spaceship Odysseus until he finds the realm of Hades.
Telemachus is Ulysses' young son. Courageous and curious, he accompanies his father on his space voyage alongside the little robot Nono and the young Themis, demonstrating remarkable maturity in the face of divine trials.
