Ulysses 31 is a French-Japanese animated series created by Jean Chalopin and Nina Wolmark, produced by DIC Studios and Tokyo Movie Shinsha. Broadcast from 1981 on FR3, this cult classic transposes Homer's Odyssey into a science fiction universe.

The plot follows the journey of Ulysses who, after destroying the Cyclops to save his son, suffers the wrath of the Olympian gods. Condemned to wander in an unknown dimension, he seeks the realm of Hades to awaken his petrified companions and return to Earth.

Themis is a young Zotrian with blue skin from the white planet. Taken in by Ulysses on the Cyclops's planet, she possesses powerful telepathic abilities and great maturity. Gentle and courageous, she accompanies Telemachus on his galactic adventures.
